鶹Ʒ Employee Leads Impactful Wellness Workshop at NYSACAC Conference

鶹Ʒ employee presents at the 2025 New York State Association for College Admission Counseling (NYSACAC) Conference at Hartwick College

Ze-Enna Jenkins, assistant director of Undergraduate Admissions at 鶹Ʒ, presented at the 2025 New York State Association for College Admission Counseling (NYSACAC) Conference at Hartwick College, where she led several workshops, including one titled “Beyond the Numbers: Preventing Burnout in Admissions.”

The workshop delved into the critical intersection between professional demands and personal well-being, focusing on how those working in student-facing roles can manage performance pressure, set boundaries and sustain a sense of purpose.

“I highlighted practical strategies for managing performance pressure, setting boundaries and sustaining purpose in student-facing roles,” said Jenkins. “It’s a topic that’s both personal and professional for me, and I’m honored I was able to bring it to this space. It was very well received; the feedback was incredible!”

Survey results from her session reflect the workshop’s strong impact:

  • 50% of respondents cited guilt or pressure to “keep pushing” as a key barrier to incorporating rest or wellness into their workday.
  • 36.4% noted time constraints as another major challenge.
  • A striking 95.5% of attendees said they were “very likely” to apply the practices and tools she shared during the session.
  • The same 95.5% responded “yes, absolutely” when asked if the workshop helped them reflect on their relationship with burnout and workplace wellness.

Jenkins' contribution arrives at a pivotal time for the college admissions field, where professionals are increasingly recognizing the importance of sustainable work habits in high-pressure environments. Her session not only offered practical tools but also opened space for personal reflection and community dialogue among colleagues from across the state.

The NYSACAC Conference is an event for college admissions professionals in New York, offering development, networking and resource-sharing opportunities for those guiding students through the college application process.
